Assistant Professor Dr Marwa Muhammad Maree, teaching in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering – College of Engineering – University of Kerbala, participated in the discussion of the master’s thesis that was conducted at the University of Technology – Department of Electromechanical Engineering –
It discussed the researcher Aya Jaber Mohi’s thesis titled (Practical investigation of various designs for cooling photovoltaic cells using water and phase change materials).
This experimental study aims to improve the electrical and thermal performance of solar cell modules with innovative designs. The most prominent experimental results showed that the average temperature of the wax-cooled solar cell unit (42-PCM RT) was reduced by about 3.23 degrees Celsius compared to the standard solar cell, and the electrical improvement efficiency and output increased by an average of 8.6% and 11.31%, respectively.
