In order to promote scientific integration and communication amongst the institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering arranged a scientific visit for the second-stage students to the iron and steel factory in Holy Karbala. To effectively contribute to improving the practical and applied element, research should be conducted in collaboration with other sectors represented by engineering and practical departments. specifically for Mechanical Engineering Department students.
Dr. Mohsen Al-Salbi, the instructor who led the trip, clarified that these kinds of scientific expeditions help students understand the advantages of iron creation and manufacturing processes as well as the engineering processes that steel and iron go through. They also help to activate the function of the engineer in the private sector. Professor Nawar, the director of the laboratory, stated that he would be willing to set up a mechanism of cooperation with the University of Karbala and the College of Engineering, particularly to train engineering cadres and administer exams to graduating students as well as to carry out postgraduate projects for the benefit of the public and practical application. Because the trip included relevant and helpful material for our students to apply in their field of expertise, it had a fantastic effect on them.
