Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Laith Shaker Rashid Al-Qaraawi, and within the activities of the Global leadership Week, the College of Engineering at the University of Kerbala organized an important panel discussion on the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market, delivered by Assistant Lecturer Salah Mahdi Obaid, where the challenges that the workforce and institutions may face were reviewed, with the rapid advancement of this technology.
The course aims to introduce the target group to the opportunities that AI will offer and the possibilities available in various fields, and how this technology can have a positive impact on their career paths and personal development opportunities.
The seminar, which was held entitled (“The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Labor Market”), included challenges facing the impact of AI on the labor market, including shifts in the structure of jobs and the need to develop workforce skills, in addition to challenges related to security and privacy in data processing.
As well as opportunities for the impact of AI on the labor market and the possibility of creating new jobs, improving the efficiency of operations, and expanding professional development opportunities, which opens a horizon for innovation and enhancing the development of the workforce to keep pace with the requirements of the future labor market.
Eventually a review had been made of some applications of artificial intelligence that will increase the efficiency of workers in various fields
