Within the Arabic Language and its Sciences course framework, second-year Petroleum Engineering students at Karbala University visited the Central Library, accompanied by their lecturer, Dr. Dhahi Thamer.

This visit aimed to familiarize the students with library procedures and methods for researching specialized books and journals in engineering. Students learned how to borrow books, utilize the library’s automated search system, and understand the classification and numbering of books. The visit also covered etiquette for using the reading room and the importance of time management in a library setting.

This visit motivates students to engage in reading and studying, fostering the development of their scientific and cultural personalities. Dr. Dhahi Thamer indicated that such activities are essential in enhancing students’ research and critical thinking skills encouraging innovation and creativity in their engineering disciplines.
