In efforts to develop the skills of teaching staff in blended learning, the third session of the “Methods of Teaching Towards Blended Learning” program, dedicated to engineering faculty members, commenced. The second training package in this session focused on “Instructional Design,” a fundamental element in creating a practical learning experience that combines face-to-face and online learning.

The package covered several crucial topics, including instructional design concepts, modern instructional design models such as the ADDIE model, learner analysis and needs assessment, formulating learning objectives, and designing appropriate activities and assessments for the nature of blended engineering education.

The workshops also included practical models and examples from the engineering disciplines, allowing participants to apply what they had learned to real-world scenarios. The session saw significant participant engagement, demonstrating a keen interest in adopting blended learning strategies in their course materials.
