The Department of Prosthetics and Industrial Supports in the College of Engineering, University of Kerbala has announced the addition of a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) to the General Mechanical Behavior Laboratory, under the supervision of the head of the department, Prof Dr. Muslim Ali. This machine represents a valuable addition to the educational infrastructure in the university, providing an ideal environment for conducting various tests on engineering materials. The UTM allows students at all academic levels, whether in undergraduate or graduate programs, to perform tests on different materials such as metals, rubber, and polymers, helping them apply theoretical concepts in practical contexts. The machine also supports graduation projects and master’s theses, and enhances the development of research and development skills among students in the field of prosthetics and industrial supports.
This addition is an important step towards improving the quality of engineering education in the university and providing a comprehensive learning environment that supports the academic and professional aspirations of students in mechanical engineering.
