Under the auspices of the esteemed President of the University of Karbala and the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Engineering and the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering participated in the exhibition dedicated to the Iraqi-Iranian Science Day. This distinguished scientific event was held to enhance academic and research collaboration between the two countries.
The exhibition featured more than 30 outstanding scientific projects developed by the department’s students, including traditional and smart prosthetics and orthotic devices. These innovations were achieved under the direct supervision of the department’s faculty and technical staff, reflecting the department’s commitment to supporting scientific research and developing innovative technologies to meet societal needs.
Additionally, the exhibition showcased several patents achieved by the department’s researchers, along with scientific papers published in Scopus-indexed journals. This highlights the department’s significant contribution to producing high-quality research that advances science. The exhibition also included a collection of devices manufactured within the department, demonstrating the efficiency of the students and academic staff in delivering practical, research-based solutions.
