Under the slogan of scientific field visits, an essential activity in building the engineer’s technical skills, the Civil Engineering Department organized a field scientific trip for first-year morning study students for the academic year 2023-2024 to the Al-Furatin Limestone Block Manufacturing Company, Karbala factory, on Tuesday, 12/26/2023. The students are accompanied by the accompanying teaching staff and the technical staff in the factory to familiarize the students closely with the stages of manufacturing limestone bricks, their engineering properties, and their most important tests. The tour also included scientific discussions between the students and the technical staff of the factory, which contributed to consolidating the theoretical principles among the students and enhanced their understanding of the construction materials subject. Especially the limestone bricks, which are considered a good building unit because of their excellent engineering properties.
In conclusion, souvenir photos were taken and thanks were given to the administrative and technical staff of Al-Furatin Limestone Block Manufacturing Company, Karbala Factory, for the facilities and comprehensive explanations they provided to the students
