A master’s thesis was submitted to the College of Engineering – Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Kerbala, tagged (Sustainable utilization of crumb rubber modified asphalt) by the student Rawaa Shaker Jawad. The first chapter dealt with the scientific background of the topic, the importance of the research and its objectives. The second chapter reviewed previously published studies that related to the research topic. The third chapter includes the materials, mixing and treatment methods, and tests used. The fourth chapter presents the analysis of the data and the results obtained from the practical part of this study. Finally, the fifth chapter is concerned with the conclusion and future recommendations for further studies.
The thesis aims to improve the properties of the asphalt mixture with waste materials represented by shredded rubber and recommendations for using the modified dry method.
The thesis was approved by the discussion committee, which consisted of Professor Dr. Raed Rahman Adnan and Assistant Professor Dr Anmar Faleh Dikan (Member), Assistant Professor Dr. Mahdi Abbas Mahdi (Member), and Professor Dr. Shaker Faleh Shaker (Member and Supervisor).
