The thesis was entitled “Exergy analysis to improve the efficiency of the second law of the Al-Mussaib steam station by evaluating the amount of rejected thermal energy.”
The third unit in the Al-Mussaib thermal station was the subject of the case studies with the energy and exergy data. The Engineering Equations Solution (EES) tool was used to solve the systematic equations that were obtained from the mass, energy, and exergy balancing equations for each phase of the station’s thermal cycle. In order to predict the overall improvement that will occur through enhancing the power plant station with external inputs, the quantity of oxygenic destruction was identified in the various components of the station. The effect of a group of operational variables was then analyzed.
The discussion committee who approved the thesis was formed of the following members: The chairman Prof. Dr. Muhammad Wahab Kazem, Prof. Dr. Hakim Samawi Sultan, Asst. Prof. Dr.. Farhan Lafta Rashid, Asst. Prof. Dr. Raouf Muhammad Radhi, and Dr. Haider Nuri Muhammad.
