The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering / University of Kerbala held a discussion for a master’s thesis entitled: (Improving solar distillation by analyzing heat transfer and using a Fresnel lens) by researcher Amir Abd al-Salam Abd Aoun. The thesis dealt with technology used to desalinate water and obtain distilled water from salty water using a Fresnel lens. They are focused on phase change materials to store the rays during the day and then return them to the device in the absence of solar radiation. This method can use heathow to benefit and reduce the total cost and improve performance.
The thesis was approved by the thesis committee, which consisted of Prof. Dr. Zina Khalifa Kazem (University of Wasit) as chairman and the membership of each of Asst. Prof Dr. Hassan Talib Hashim (University of Kerbala) and Asst. Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hamid Khalaf (University of Kerbala), in addition to the membership and supervision of each From Prof. Dr. Abbas Sahi Sharif (University of Kerbala) and Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Nazim Aziz (University of Kerbala).
