The master’s thesis in the College of Engineering / Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Kerbala was discussed by the researcher Ali Ahmed Abdel-Ridha tagged: (Experimental study on Shear friction strength of ultra-high performance concrete Construction Joints), which is a new class of concrete characterization by the absence of coarse aggregates, in addition to the presence of steel fibers. Among the studied affecting factors of shear friction in structural joints were shear forces, failure shape, and response to the force-displacement test. The study showed that the increase in the shear reinforcement bars improves the shear resistance, and the presence of grooves that connect the parts of the studied sample improves the shear resistance of the concrete. The results also showed that there is a good agreement between the practical and theoretical results in terms of the maximum load capacity.
