On the occasion of “National Tree Day,” the College of Engineering at Karbala University organized a tree planting campaign that involved planting various types of trees around the college. The campaign was executed in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Jassim Aidan Barak, under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Haidar Nadhim Al-Muhnna, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Alaa Mohammed Jawad, the responsible head of the Agricultural Unit, Mr. Jawad Kazem Ghalib, and some professors, staff, and students from the college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The campaign included planting trees, shrubs, and flowers in the college’s internal and external gardens to enhance green spaces and improve the university environment. The Dean of the College emphasized the importance of this campaign in raising environmental awareness among students and teaching staff, pointing to its role in supporting the sustainable development goals that the college aims to achieve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For their part, the participants expressed their joy in taking part in this campaign. They underscored the necessity of continuing such initiatives that enhance the spirit of cooperation and social responsibility towards the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
