In order to develop the skills of students, engineers, and faculty in the field of composite materials, and under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Laith Shakir Rasheed Al-Qarawee, the Department of Engineering Prosthetics and Prosthetics in the College of Engineering held a training course entitled “Using advanced composite materials in the manufacture of prosthetic limbs.”
The course, was held for three days, included identifying the use of composite materials in several fields due to their high mechanical properties, light weight, in addition to their low cost. The lecturers (Dr. Ahmed Qasim Hassan, Assistant Lecturer: Hassanein Hashem, and Assistant Lecturer Hawra Uday Abbas) explain how to use these materials in the manufacture of limbs and supports, applications of these materials. The course contributed to increasing the knowledge of all participants.
