A master’s thesis in the College of Engineering / Department of Civil Engineering / Infrastructures branch tagged with (Performance of geogrid-reinforced sandy soil in railway embankment) by researcher Huwaida Fayez Kazem was examined. The thesis examined the effect of using geogrid and geotextile as reinforcing materials to strengthen and improve sandy soil embankment under a railway track. The study showed an improvement in the physical properties of the soil as well as a decrease in the values of settlement and vertical stresses after the addition of Geosynthetics materials.
